Cassper Nyovest has managed to deliver a heavy weight verse on amapiano dynamic duo DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small’s new single titled “Phoyisa”, the song also features musician QwestaKufet.
This new song “Phoyisa” was actually released on 31st December 2019 just a few hours before the beginning of a new decade.
And talking about this song, DJ Maphorisa phoned Cassper Nyovest asked him to jump on his much anticipated amapiano song. Mufasa then spent the whole night writing his verse, and then the next morning on December 31st, 2019 DJ Maphorisa tweeted asking fans on Twitter about how much time they should give Cassper Nyovest to send in his verse.
DJ Maphorisa tweeted:
“Phoyisa is READY, how long should we give @casspernyovest to give us his verse”. At this point some fans began spewing negativity on Twitter mentioning that they did not want Cassper on the song.
A few minutes later, Cassper Nyovest revealed that he had pulled out of the song after some fans created negative energy on Twitter tweeting that they didn’t want him on Maphorisa’s song, Mufasa tweeted:
“To be 100% honest, it’s the most depressing shit ever. My own people, in my country. The love outweighs the hate but man. Maphorisa called last night, sent me the song&i spent my whole night writing. Woke up 2 twitter saying i should keep my verse so it’s fine, Ima keep my verse.”
Cassper went ahead to explain his decision of withdrawing from the song as he replied to one of DJ Maphorisa’s tweets, Refiloe tweeted:
“Eish, i woke up to the whole country shittin on me saying they don’t want me on the record. Woulda smashed it out the park but this your moment Phorry!!! Let it ring without me!!! Don’t wanna force issues!!! 2020 needs that Cassper X Maphorisa X Kabza MAGIC DOE. VULA FTSEK HEH!!!”.
Cassper Nyovest continued and tweeted:
“Nah i don’t listen to twitter. I just think the energy around the song changed when they heard i was on the song. I don’t wanna mess up Maphorisa’s moment with ppl discussing my verse instead of just enjoying the song. The energy around the song was so positive till this morning.”
Cassper Nyovest still had more to say as he went ahead and tweeted:
“Can’t wait for Phorry to drop the song so we can continue dancing to his tune!!! Him and Kabza been serving us all year and it seems like they might serve us all year long in 2020 as well. Phoisa!!! VULA FTSEK HEEEY!!!!”.
Despite everything that Cassper had said about withdrawing from the song, DJ Maphorisa managed to plead with him to be on the song. In fact Cassper revealed this in a tweet in which said that Maphorisa called him after seeing his tweets, Mufasa tweeted:
“I swear i really didn’t want to be on the song at all. Maphorisa called me at 12:30 today after seeing my tweets, i was at his house at 1:15 , we chopped it up a bit and i still didn’t wanna do it. He opened the files , i started writing again at 2 , 2:30 i recorded and left.”
After the song had been released but it was circulated on the internet, Cassper Nyovest shared a video clip on Twitter in which he and his crew are in their tour van dancing to it. Watch the video clip below;
